As you've probably read, heard, or seen, a national fast-food chain is promoting it's "Sweet Tea" for the summer. Here are the nutrition facts for the Large (32 ounce) serving : 230 calories, 59 grams of carbohydrates. No wonder they call it "sweet" tea -- it contains the equivalent of nearly 15 (yes, you read that right fifteen!) teaspoons of sugar. A better idea -- order a plain, unsweetened tea and ask for a packet (or 2, if you like) of sugar. Each packet of sugar is about 15 calories, and 4 grams of carbohydrates.
Drink smart this summer!!
